Happy HOWLoween!
Here at Utah State we like to host a little party called "The Howl". And by little I mean that it is the biggest party in the state of Utah. People from all over the state and other states come dressed to impress in their craziest costumes to enjoy a MASSIVE insane dance party, concerts including Cartel, performers, games, and all sorts of insanity. The campus was PACKED with people and our buildings were full of lines of thousands of people waiting to enjoy the craziness. One of USU's finest my friends. Kaela and I dressed up as troll dolls, and danced the night away. I guess that is why today doesn't feel like the real holiday, but maybe I'll get some candy from strangers anyways. JOKE.

Son Of A Witch.
Kaela and her family were kind enough to invite me to tag along with them for their family's halloween tradition. We went to the Garder Village Witch Fest where each year people make this cute little witches out of pumpkins and put them all over Gardner Village and it is almost like a scavenger hunt to find them. So cute! They also had activities all over and shopping and candy stores and it was so much fun! Afterwards we ate lunch and got into the halloween spirit. It was a good way to get ready for not only the upcoming holidays, but the traditions too! Thanks again! And Happy Halloween! : ]

Awkward And Awesome Thursday!
AWKWARD:
- Walking into the gym and seeing a girl on the bikes in her street clothes. Watching some asian cartoon show. And she didn't talk. Hey, whatever satisfies your gym cravings I guess.
- Having 11 empty spots on a list to have your english class one day a week. Me, being the eleventh spot, thought at first this was awesome, until the half of your class gives you the stink eye for taking the last spot.
- Going swing dancing, which is uncomfortable within itself because I cannot dance by no means, and having your partner flip you around thereby breaking your favorite sandal. And going shoeless for the rest of the night. THANKS.
- Seeing one of your professors in the bathroom. "Uh hey...what are YOU doing here? You come here often?" I just think that all bathroom stories are awkward, that is probably why I post one every week. Huh, go figure.
- Sitting in class and having one of the students correct the professor who has no idea what he is talking about. I then say, "hey, why doesn't HE teach the class?" But saying it WAY louder than I thought, and resulting in about 20 turned heads giving me the "hey, girl in the blue sweater, why don't you just shut up" look. My face turned bright red.
- Going to the movie theatre, which was way cheaper than back home might I add, and sitting down to find that the movie theatre seats, were made of memory foam. Memory foam kids. And not that cheap-o kind either. I about broke out my wine glass right then and there.
- Due to the fact that my professor had emergency surgery and we had no class for a week, he then decided that instead of rushing back to play catch up, we will now just take our time and cut off the last unit that we were supposed to read.
- Thinking that I lost an old iPod of mine in my car, only to find that I found it. Sitting in a side pocket corner. I have no idea how it got there.
- Going into our business building and seeing a banner that reads, "Hogwartz school of business". Inside the entire building was deocrated from head to toe with Harry Potter decorations. Today I took the class "Muggle Studies". I about slipped my robe on right then and there.
- The fact that I am so perfectly content with my life right now. I stopped and noticed it yesterday. There is not a problem in the world, life is stress free for the most part, it is strikingly beautiful weather with the changing leaves, and I have a ton to be grateful for.

Marin (Muh-rin) Lindsay:
Happy Birthday best friend. I am so sad that I don't get to be there with you to celebrate. And even though we are hundreds of miles apart, please know that I am down here still celebrating without you. Because you mean that much to me. I hope that you have a good day, that for maybe once you can go a day without some stress. You deserve one, if not thousands, of days to relax. You mean the world to me Ginny. And I am so glad that I am lucky enough to have someone that I can rely on so much, and come to for ANYTHING. You and me, we just understand each other. And even though we have had our tiffs, just know that you can always count on me. I can't wait for our lives to play out and see who we will become. I can't wait for you to become a cute little fashionable mom with a kick-ass husband. And we will live by one another and have our kids grow up to be best friends just like you and me. Because that's whats life is about. So here's to you Marin, and if this didn't make you cry, then I hope it made you laugh out loud at work. And please for the sake of anything that is good, don't party too hard tonight. I just don't think that the world could handle it. Love you.

It Only Goes Up From Here
Guys. They've done it. They created the eighth wonder of the world. And it is incredible. In a little town near Kaela's home some GENIUS recreated the house from the movie UP. I couldn't believe it either. It even had all of the same decorations inside of it. I about died. AND guess what else? It's for sale. Only 400,000 dollars, which is nothing right? Here's what I'm thinking. Buy the house, and since it has so much tourist attraction, charge people for pictures or tours and all that junk. With all of the profit from that, BOOM. Free house. So please don't steal my idea because it's mine, okay?

The Holidays Make Me Turn Into A Plumpkin
Okay first off I want to say that I am sorry for not posting over the past few days. I'm a terrible person. BUT that is because I was on Fall Break (which really means a four day weekend if you are lucky). So, Kaela and I decided that we were going to go to her hometown in Utah and play around for a few days. So I'm guessing each post this week will be about our little trip because we did TONS. One night we went to this quaint little pumpkin patch and picked out some nice beauties. It was such perfect fall weather and the best fall activity. Now I know that my pumpkin may not look the best, but if you hold it up, it was a giant spring. That's right peeps, but instead the toothpicks couldn't support it and now it just looks like a cut up piece of junk. Happy fall.

Here Comes The Bride...
On Monday my sister got engaged to the most blunt, crazy, outgoing guy in the entire world, and I couldn't love him more. I am so excited for the both of them and couldn't be any happier. I love the way that they are so comfortable around each other and treat one another like they are best friends. More importantly I love the way that he treats her. He is a good man, and fits into our crazy family so well. I could not ask for anyone better to have my sister spend the rest of her life with. I am so grateful for the example that they have both given me and I only hope that I can get a guy as good as him. Congratulations you guys, and welcome to the family.

21
21 days I have gone without junkfood. Remember that? Rember that time I said I wasn't going to eat junkfood for 21 days and you all doubted me? Well, today I'm here to say HA. In your faces because I did it. No cheating. Whatsoever. And last night I celebrated my accomplishment with some butterscotch brownies and ice cream. What better way to celebrate no junkfood, by eating junkfood? But in all seriousness, I am rather proud and I think that the challenge really did help me not maybe not stop eating crap food entirely, but maybe slow myself down before that mythical "freshman fifteen" becomes a reality.

Ya'll Are Going To Hate Me.
BUT computer is emotional again, and so I just have to add it on to one of my many lists of things to do. (Thank you Kaela for letting me use Mac) So, in the meantime I will try and post about my crazy life, as if you were to care. Weekend: went well. Full of dancing, service, eating, playing, cleaning, coldness, and pure fall fun. Today I am stressing out as I run with my head chopped off looking for my house key and trying to figure out all this banking junk. Who knew that we actually had to pay for things? Just kidding, but seriously, who knew.

My Laptop Is Topless.
How scandalous. Finally after four days of pure anger and stress I got my laptop to work. I'm not really sure how I did, but its working. (Hopefully I didn't jinx it). So to say the least, it should be a good way to start off the weekend. What are you guys up to? I think tonight we are going on a picnic in the canyon and later go to a special needs dance. TOO FUN. I'm in the mood to bake some delicious fall treats so maybe we can scrounge up enough ingredients.. other than that, just coasting through the week. Feeling the warm fall air, and the leaves beginning to fall...very grateful indeed.

Awkward And Awesome Thursday!
AWKWARD:
- When the doctor asks you if you are 1. married 2. sleeping with one man 3. sleeping with multiple men and you answer no to all of the questions and she has a puzzled look on her face. Apparently I just give off that "hey I'm a sleeze" look.
- Driving in the car when a little spider comes cascading from the ceiling in front of your face. Then making that ultimate decision of swerving into another car out of fear, or letting the spider dangle in front of you. Don't worry, the spider also had spider friends. They reproduced more spiders in my car. I'm afraid to drive.
- Walking around in stilettos parading around and discussing how impressed I was with myself for not tripping all day. At that moment I trip on a rug, roll my ankle, and fall on my face. It's okay though because the kids in my building watch me.
- Eating plums in the kitchen when a friend says, "hey you should try spitting the seed up in the air and catching it back in your mouth." So of course I took that as a challenge and tried it. Only to find that I did it, and then managed to have the seed fall straight to the back of my throat and choke. Litterally choke.
- Having the fire alarm go off and the whole building has to do an emergency evacuation. Don't you worry, I was in the shower.
- Walking into class to see that my professor made everyone in the class chocolate cake. Too bad I don't like cake, don't like chocolate, and I'm still on the 21 day challenge. But it's still cool that she did that...I hope she put laxatives in it.
- Taking a bath at Midnight. I don't know why it is so much better at a later hour, but it is folks.
- Looking EVERYWHERE for my house key only to find that it snugged itself into my gum package. I'm not sure how it got there, but I found it nontheless.
- Discovering the BEST recipe for homemade potato chips. They are healthy for you, and taste like a dream.
- Not having my Humanitites class for the whole week. Thereby giving me days to sleep in. I mean, sorry Professor Sherlock for your emergency surgery and all...but thank YOU.

Here are some recipes for your holiday cravings. Just click on the links and let your ovens work some magic!
Malfunction..
For some reason my computer is broken. I'm lucky I'm even getting this much out of it. I will try and fix it by today so we can have Awkward And Awesome Thursday, because trust me, there are some good ones this week.

The Weekend Ended...
For some odd reason the internet is much like me and is SUPER moody. Go figure. Maybe it is karma for being such a grump today. Or maybe it is the fact that it is a Monday and I think that within itself would make anyone grumpy. Nonetheless, since I was a grump, it automatically got me first dibs on the homemade waffles from the boys upstairs. Huh, maybe I should be grumpy all the time...BACK TO THE POINT. Laptop here isn't allowing me to show and tell ANY pictures from this weekend, and let me tell you, it was quite the weekend. For a majority we just celebrated the upcoming holidays and cooler weather by carving pumpkins and snuggling in warm covers after fall football games. Too bad winter just likes to take over a little bit to soon.

I Have A Big Package...
And I got it from my dad and step-mom. So thoughtfully these guys sent me and sister a nice big box of our favorite goodies, since us college girls are too poor to spoil ourselves in our favorite endulgences. I got toilet paper (a joke between us, that isn't necessarily an "inside joke", because we are never indoors) a smiley face bouncy ball (dad loves those, I just guess he wanted to send a little piece of home) salt and vinegar chips, oh baby! Jerky (the jumbo bag) trailmix (my favorite food in the world in case you were wondering) asthma medication, money, homemade brownies (don't you fret, I froze them) and some gum (for all those college boys, my dad knows me so well.) Thanks again for the goodies and lovin! See you in a month! And if anyone else wants to send surprise treat boxes I wouldn't be against that! Happy weekend!

Awkward And Awesome Thursday!
AWKWARD:
- Going to Jamba and having your name called when your smoothie is ready thereby making it acceptable for the guy in line to come up and say, "Morgan, so what did you order?" Um, not you creep-o.
- Bringing to everyones attention the guy standing in his window dancing. Thinking it was funny until you realize that he was just washing his windows...
- That weird croaking noise you make when you yawn, you know the one. That sounds like you are choking on air, and then your entire english class stares at you because NO ONE talks in that class.
- Watching a kid from across the street crash on his longboard and roll for a few feet. No one being around except for Madi and I, we questioned whether or not to go help the poor kid...
- The fact that it is the sixth of October and there is already snow on the ground. UM ARE YOU KIDDING ME? This is more awful than awkward, but still nonetheless flat out terrible.
- Going to Texas Roadhouse and seeing the entire place filled with men in white shirts and ties. I love the priesthood.
- Those kids who bring a pitcher to the slurpee machine, as if big gulps weren't big enough for ya.
- The boyfriend who holds the unbrella over his girlfriend as they walk from class to class, but not over himself. Just precious, so precious it's almost sickening.
- Having the cleanest house in our building, still can't get over that. Now only if we can live it up...
- Getting to watch The Office in class. Psychology my new favorite class? I'll go with a yes.

It's Getting Cold In Hurr, So Put On All Your Clothes.
The coldest day in Logan yet has taken us in by uproar. I guess it's just winter's pleasant way of saying ready or not here I come... And guess what? I'm not ready. I finally had my two hours of Fall and BOOM coldness in your face. Between the rain, homework, tests, doctors, and stress I guess this is a good excuse to snuggle on the couch with some warm hot cocoa in my hand. I'm not sure if that breaks the whole "no junk food" thing, WHICH IS STILL GOING thank you for asking, but I think that we can let this one slide. Thanks for keeping my darkest secrets.

Clean Queen.
Last night after a family home evening to remember, the roommates and I decided that we really just needed to do spring cleaning in October. Well, that and we kind of had to because our house was getting a clean inspection....but that is besides the point. So our little bodies were staying up into the late hours of the night as we scrubbed, dusted, and shined and polished our entire house. I have never been more proud of these little girlies. Not only did we pass, but we got the cutest decorated house, AND the cleanest. BOOM. Take that little dust bunnies.

Be There Or Temple Square.
This weekend I got the opportunity to ride down to Salt Lake area and visit with some old friends. It was great to catch up and hang around the town. I don't get the chance to go over there that much so I was excited! My most favorite part was going to walk around Temple Square. You don't know what that is? Checka checka check out the link to find out more about this great place. We walked around and went through the visitors center, but what was great about it was that it was our church's General Conference so we sat with thousands of people and listened to the wise words of our Prophet and his Apostles. I am so grateful for the knowledge that I have and how grateful I am that we have the advising in our current day to guide us to our own glory.
